RESEARCH
The PANcreatic Disease ReseArch (PANDoRA) consortium was established in 2011, with the aim to improve the understanding of genetics and of pancreatic cancer.
The driving idea of the PANDoRA consortium is to join the efforts of different research groups with the constitution of a large bio- and databank to allow powerful and meaningful investigations to uncover the role played by genetic variants and biological biomarkers in pancreatic cancer risk and outcome.
For all cases and controls a DNA sample from blood and/or pancreatic tissue is available, as well as a minimal set of covariates (such as age, sex, age at diagnosis, age of death or last follow-up).
For the majority of cases survival information is also available in the PANDoRA database. For a subset of cases, treatment information is being collected.
